An Afternoon of Indian Culture and Tradition

The Institute also organized a special program entitled ‘An Afternoon of Indian Culture and Tradition’ at the Visitor’s Lobby Exhibition Center of the United Nations on May 26^th. The event had an Indian Classical Dance performance by Vaishali Chaudhuri, and a live demonstration of Indian Minakari handicraft work by Deepak Sankit, an artisan from India. The specialty, history, and diversity of Indian handicrafts were discussed by Mr. Shomik Chaudhuri, Vice President and Ms Rajyashree Chaudhuri, Secretary General.
