Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women

High Level Segment (HLS) included sessions on the Annual Ministerial Review (AMR), the Development Cooperation Forum (DCF) and many others. The theme for the AMR segment this year was “Implementing the Internationally Agreed Goals and Commitments in Regard to Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women,” while the theme of the DCF was “Development Cooperation in Times of Crises: New Commitments to Reach the MDGs.”
The Institute presented both oral and written statements (E/2010/NGO/21) at the two sessions on both the topics. The High-Level Segment Meeting was held at New York from June 28 to July 2. Our project was selected for model Best practices NGO projects in the world by DESA and is available on the Best Practices website.
