‘The Role of Women In Bringing About Rapprochement and the Culture of Peace’ and ‘The Evolution of Peace through Reconciliation and Forgiveness’

A 2-day seminar was organized by the NGO Committee on Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns at the UN Church Center on May 19 and 20. The speakers at the seminar included Eileen Borris, author of “Finding Forgiveness” and Director of Training for the Institute of Multi-Tracking, who is on the forefront of forgiveness in highly volatile situations; HH Bhakti, Charu Swami, sacred activist and spiritual leader of ISKCON; Shomik Chaudhuri, UN Representative of IISD; Monika Mitchell Ressler, internationally known leader in the Good Business and “business for a better world” movement. She is a media expert and public speaker on the changing trends in 21st Century Better Business among others. Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the UN, moderated both the sessions. It was organized by Sharon Hamilton Getz.
